What to pitch

We welcome proposals about directing, design, rehearsal, performance and stage forms. A strong pitch has one clear question or idea, explains why it matters to a general reader and gives a sense of the examples it would use. Choose a subject that can be explored without relying on confidential material or unsupported claims.

How to send a proposal

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial option. Include a working title, a short summary, the proposed approach and a brief note about relevant experience. Please send a proposal rather than a completed article unless we have requested one. We cannot promise publication, and a pitch should not assume access to people, venues or materials.
